is350ace
I was just wondering if anyone can give me recommendations for ceramic brake pads... price/brand/website? I'm going with the ceramics for reduced dust and performance.

I'm going with the ceramics for reduced dust and performance. Do you mean you want reduced dust, and reduced performance? :whistles: My understanding is that ceramic pads are to be used with ceramic discs and are not appropriate with standard discs. I'm happy to be proven wrong.

"Bluey": As far as I've ever heard, ceramic pads can replace OEM pads without replacing the disc. And I meant increased performance.
uclaengr02
the document only speaks to 350's. am i out of luck with my 250?
buckeye1010
the document only speaks to 350's. am i out of luck with my 250? No - it applies to 250s as well. Got mine done - very happy with lots of less dust, and still very good braking power.
Bluey
No - it applies to 250s as well. Got mine done - very happy with lots of less dust, and still very good braking power. Is the braking as good as with the original pads? I'm also getting sick of the amount of dust, I have asked the dealer and he says they don't know of different pads for this problem, and suggested if there were, they wouldn't be as good. As I'm in Aus I may need to bring the TSB from Lexus US to their attention and see what they can find out for me.

It's not quite as "sticky" as the original pads, but I always considered the original pads to be a tad bit too much (it was hard to stop smoothly). The new pads are perfect behaving, IMHO. From what I've read here, and on other boards, everyone that has had the replacement has been pleased.
