AJAquino
I have a black lexus is350 and just had the 3m clear bra installed today by a contracter listed in the 3m site. I had the whole front bumper, 10inches off the hood, fenders, and the side mirrors done. Long story short --------> IT LOOKS REALLY BAD. The cut outs for the headlight washers are not even aligned right, the cut line of the hood is not straight, and there are ripples every corner. The installer said it will have to dry and then it will blend in. He also did the door handles, but forget to do 1 of the handles. Is there a refund policy for 3m? I know I should contact him, but i'm afraid he may say no refunds or refuse to fix it, or refuse to replace it as the 3m warranty states on the website. WHAT SHOULD I DO? PLEASE HELP ALL... SW03ES
If you're not satisfied with the install, he's the one you have to deal with not 3M. It sounds like you just got a bad installer.
JPOA
I'm a certified installer for 3M SCOTCHGARD for 9 years. I'm really sorry to hear the installation work on your car. The person you have to contact is the installer. Certified installers have to stand behind their work. If he can't fix it, just tell them to peel it off and get your money back, report this to 3M also. This is what makes the 3M SCOTCHGARD reputation bad. I know it's been a couple months ago since it happened. I was just curious what kind of a deal you are ended up with. 10 inches is very small on the hood. I never use that small on a lexus.
