If I switch rims and tires what is the best way to do the tire pressure sensors? Is there a way around the system so you don't have to use it, or do I have to buy new sensors with the rims and tires? The rims will be summer only so I don't want to switch the sensors back and forth.

Try the search feature. There's been much discussion on this topic.

I tried searching rims, wheels and tires and nothing really came up?

We do not have the TPMS on the European specification IS250 or 220D. Is this a mandatory feature for the US market? I manage by checking my tyres weekly (more usually monthly) with my digital tire gauge, and rarely do they require any adjustment. Guess the only time the TPMS would be really useful would be in a slow puncture situation as a blowout in my experience is usually felt through the steering.

TPMS is standard equipment on the US spec IS models. The biggest problem comes in with many aftermarket rims, where the OEM sensors just won't fit.
