fastkeys
Greetings! I'm trying to set up my new Cingular Treo 680 phone with the onboard phone in my RX400h. So far, I've been able to follow the directions in the Navigation System manual to successfully pair the Treo with the phone system. But it looks like I need to complete 2 setup tasks to make this work: 1. pair the phone and the car-phone (BT pairing) 2. add a new phone selection to identify the device for the car-phone to contact when a call comes in Task #1 seems to be complete -- I show the HANDSFREE entry on my Treo as a Trusted Device, and as the primary BT connection. Task #2 is more difficult (I should back up here for a moment to say that my old Treo 650 worked just fine as the old BT connection for this car-phone. However, I had to Delete the old entry because the BTaddr was wrong (for the old phone). Now there are no entries in the Phone section, and the "Select" button is grayed out. This is a chicken'n'egg problem -- how do I add the first entry (doesn't seem to handle this special case in the manual -- just says to "Select" the entry you want to use). Any tips on how to add the first phone? thanks in advance for any assistance, --fastkeys

You may want to make sure AUTO CONNECT is ON... DO this: INFO | TELEPHONE | BLUETOOTH and select AUTO CONNECT If just wanting to load your phone book, do this: INFO | PHONE | PHONE BOOK | TRANSFER | PICK A GROUP | Now go to your phone and PUSH the phone book however that's done. On my Blackberry, I go to Settings | Bluetooth | right click on the hands free or whatever you call your LExus and select Transfer Phonebook Voila! Hi Manny, What make/model of Blackberry do you have? I'm looking to upgrade my cell and want a Blackberry that's compatible with the SUV's setup...
