Electrical Problem?

Recommended Posts

a while back on a rainy day i took my lexus out and when i parked it and tried to start it up again all i got was the clicking noise from the starter. after a while i came back to my lexus and it started so i drove it home and when i turned it off and then tried to start it again i got that clicking noise and it wouldnt start. after a period of time the clicking went away and the car would still not start. now when i turn my key to the on position all my power works but when i try to start the car all of the power shuts off and the car does not start? could it be a short or maybe a bad negative terminal or cable?

clicking noise from the starter usually indicates that there is not enough voltage in the battery to crank the engine. How old is your battery? Lexus vehicles seem to eat though batteries faster than other cars. I had to replace my battery once every 3 years.
