Has anyone changed a connecting rod on their SC400..I hear that you can replace it by going thru the oil pan without taking the engine out of the car...has anyone done this..?

if you do go through the bottom end you would need to take the crank out. these kinds of "in depth" repairs are easier if you just pull the motor. why do you want to take the rods out anyway?

Had a bent rod...and your wrong about the crankshaft..the rod and piston came out just fine through the top after taking the head off...I know because I did it myself with the factory manual.

no im not wrong you asked about taking it out through the oil pan. its impossible without taking the crank out... anyway how'd you bend the rod?
