blk_on_blk
I had a failed coil code pop up the other day, and when the engine started running rough, the check engine light came on and started flashing as I limped it home. Anyone know what it means when it flashes? I can't find an explanation anywhere.
blk_on_blk
No worries... found the answer on my own. Here is is: "What does it mean if the (check engine) light is blinking?" If the light is blinking, a severe engine problem such as a catalyst-damaging misfire is occurring and should be addressed as soon as possible. You can still drive safely, but should minimize your time on the road. Try not to drive the vehicle at high speed or with excess weight (such as towing or carrying heavy equipment). In my case it was a failed coil pack for the #2 cylinder. From: http://www.epa.gov/obd/questions.htm#
