98LS400owner
I have bought 1998 LS 400 with 98K miles on it. I would like to wax it and chnage oil for the first time. Is it worth going to Lexus dealer or goto any shop and get it done. Also, please recommend which oil I should use. Thanks,
acf
I asked a similar question in another thread about more involved servicing. But you're fine going to a trusted mechanic to get your oil change. Some here recommend though that you bring your own OEM filter. As far as waxing. Read the posts in the detailing forum and do it yourself. You won't be disappointed. VBdenny
If you do take it somewhere, just make sure they reinstall the splash shield and all 13 bolts. I would also use synthetic oil. Also, wax that rig! but use a good cleaner and even clay first.
98LS400owner
Please let me know exactly which Oil filter I have to take to shop while changing oil. Which oil is the best for 98K miles run LS 4000?
VBdenny
For oil use 5W-30, any brand of synthetic. I have always used Fram XG filters. Oil costs me a little less than $5/qt. filters about $10. Nothing to lube on the
