PaulLa Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I just purchased a new Lexus ES350 and the dealer was offering some protective packages at an additional charge, notably Xzilon for the outside and leather...and also something called Lexus extra care and courtesy care platinum for the brakes and tires. Has anyone had any experience with these? Are they worthwhile? I have until Sunday to make my decision on adding any of these, so feedback would be most appreciated! Paul
jaspal Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 These are just gimmicks and tricks to extract additional money. Dealer exploits buyers mental state just after this big decison/expense where extra money to 'protect' the investment is seems small. They are not worth it. Just don't bother.
SW03ES Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Save your money. Paint and leather coatings are just gimmicks, you'd be better off taking the awesome cost of these packages and just paying a detailer to maintain the car on a regular basis.
jaspal Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 SE03ES, Do you know of any facilities in Arlington for hand car wash? I don't have facilities at my building, and I don't like rushed up 5 minute coin operated or other automated washes. Thanks.
SW03ES Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 None that I know of, the best thing to do would be to do a ONR wash at home. Do a search in the detailing forum.
