mista808 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 hi, im fairly new to this forum... i was wondering if it is possible to install an aftermarket amp to the stock amp wiring. does anyone know what im trying to get at? i have a 94 ls400, and my subwoofer does the job, BUT could sound a bit better. i was on lexls.com and saw how to install a new subwoofer in stock location to the stock amp but apparently the stock amp can only handle about 40watts. im sure it is possible, but i guess my real question is what wires are what? ill run a fat gauge 12v wire from the battery, and ground. what wires on the stock amp harness is the remote wire, and i guess something equivalent to rca wires? thats pretty much all you'll need correct? all help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...
92Lex Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Bypass the stock amplifier and use a "Line Output Contverter" to run your aftermarket amp.
