kyoso23 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Help a noob. What's the biggest you can go on a 2.5" drop and being able to effectively correct the camber? I've searched everywhere and am not really finding anything out. I am currently running 20"s, I love them but the tires a sooooo expensive and they do not last more then 6-7k. Any camber correction and I'm afraid I would get some rubbing. Thanks in advance.
kyoso23 Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 How much clearance did you really gain from it? I need some extra room for some camber adjustment. Also, did you have a body shop do it? Did your paint crack at all?
92Lex Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I gained about an additional 3/4" of sidewall clearance. I'm not sure how the wheel liners in your car is set-up, but you might have to cut or remove the liners to roll for fenders flat. I rolled the fenders myself, with a baseball bat and a heat gun. Just make sure that the paint is properly heated, before rolling the fenders and it shouldn't crack.
kyoso23 Posted March 10, 2007 Author Posted March 10, 2007 I'm gonna give it a shot then. Got front and rear camber kits from TM Engineering, and I'm gonna roll the fenders to get the most out of it. Wish me luck!
92Lex Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Good luck. Make sure that you heat up the paint, and only work with a few inches at a time.
