Dohayon Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I own a 2006 IS250 AWD with 17500 km. Three time since September, twice this week, the check engine light (and VSC light) come on. Brought it in twice to the dealer. First time, software update and oil change were performed. This time around, dealer couldn't do anything more, just reset the light. Lignt came back on day after I left dealership. aAccording to the workorder, the code is P0172 Bank 1 too rich. I have only ever used super unleaded (91) gasoline. I find it unfortunate and frustrating to spend this amount of money ona vehicle to have to drive it around with the check engine light on constantly. Secondly, should a serious condition arise, I will not know about it and keep drinving the vehicle when I should be bringing it in for servicing. I am told that I am not the only one to have this problem at the same dealership.
bartkat Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Probably a bad oxygen sensor. The problem should clear up if they replace it.
