Floor Mat Clips

It seems strange that the floor mats on my 07 RX400h have rather nice clips on the left front and both rear mats but none on the right front. Any idea why not all four?

Probably didn't thing the larger passenger matt would move around, and even if it did how far coudl it get.

On the drivers side, it's a safety feature not have that matt moving around AT ALL.

On the back, they are so small that they coudl migrate under the seats if they were not cliped in.

So, from a requiremenst point of view, I can see logic to the decision... but it was probably cost driven ;)

Skyfish. I can't think of a better response than yours although saving a buck or two on a $50,000 car doesn't seem to be typical Lexus. There is a small hump under the passenger mat but I wouldn't think it would prevent clips from working.

Small thing in a car I otherwise adore.
