No. It's easier to do if you drop the exhaust pipe. Just be sure to change the end links & grease the bushings well, or it'll be squeaking very soon.

you mean to change the existing end links and bushings? im at a total lost of what i should do. should i take a chance and buy an end link kit and bushings at the local parts store?

Yes, change the existing endlinks & bushings. There's near no change the end links that are on there are going to be very good at that age. I would use some poly bushings. Sorta defeates the purpose of upgrading the sway bar if you're just going to put rubber back on there.

i just received my whiteline sway (BTR39 - made for 98 camry) bar in the mail the other day and it came with only 20mm bushings. will these bushings work with the exisiting (bushing) brackets for the 98 es300? im currently looking for replacement endlinks. thanks
