Air Intake Manifold Tube; 1992 Es 300- 135k Mi

I recently had my air intake manifold tube or hose replaced because the engine was not getting enough air. Now everything works fine but theres a slight problem....when in the parking gear, the RPMs jump all the way to 2K. I was wondering if this was normal or theres a problem with my idle and it needs to be recalibrated. I also noticed that ever since I had the air intake replaced every time I shift from Parking to Reverse the entire car jolts as if it doesnt want to shift or has problems doing so. This did not happend before the replacement and I'm a little concerned about this because I don't know if it could lead to very serious tranny problems or not. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The throttle cable is holding the throttle plate open, or it's dirty & sticking open.

Idles are non-adjustable.

Ahh I see. Now I just have to figure out what could the kicking when I shift.

Any suggestions on how I could fix this throttle thing?
