lexus082 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Since I put 30,000 miles on my car a year. Maybe in a few years or so my engine maybe on its way out. I am trying to research my options for a replacement. Since JDM engines usually have very low mileage would it be a very easy swap from a US spec engine to a JDM toyota soarer engine? They looked the same except for the Toyota emblem on the top of the manifold. Anyone know? Also would it be smog legal?
jzz30 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 the jdm soarer 1uz's are kinda rare most of them were 1j's anyway the jdm motor might not have egr which would probably fail you for emmissions.
