Dan89
I have a 1999 RX 300 and have been successful in replacing burned out bulbs in headlights, taillights and the dashboard. However, I can not find an easy way to replace either front burned out side panel lights. The dealer is quoting me $125+ to replace a $2 dollar bulb. I can't believe they engineered a car where it take over an hour of labor to replace a bulb. Any ideas? It appears if you can remove the entire headlamp unit you could gain access to the side panel light. I removed the two obvious screw and bolt but the headlamp unit must still be cliped or fasten somewhere else as it was loose but not removeable ?? If so, this site provides an excellent how-to: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rx300how2/index.html Since water gets in, I found that my sockets were bad - corroded and part of the bulb would not come out. I ordered clear lenses with new sockets for about $35. Driver side is not to hard to change, passenger side has less room to work in and was a bit more tedious. Took me about an hour to do them both - working slow.
