PChase
I have a 98 ES 300. My check engine light has been on for a while and I have to get it fixed now because my state emissions and safety inspection is this month. I went to Advance Auto Parts and used the code reader and got the following codes: P0125 - Closed Loop Fuel Control Insufficient Coolant Temp P1135 - Manufacturer controlled fuel and air metering P1133 - Manufacturer controlled fuel and air metering P1135 - Manufacturer controlled fuel and air metering (this one came up twice) I would like to fix this myself but I'm not sure which part is bad. I have called my local Lexus service dept to ask about the codes but they weren't very helpful. Does anyone know what might be going on? Thanks very much for any help. Toysrme
You problem will be a dead o2 sensor. Figure out which one it is & replace it.

steviej
Thanks. How do I figure out which one it is? You problem will be a dead o2 sensor. Figure out which one it is & replace it. P1135 and P1133 are codes that refer to Bank 1 Sensor 1 (pre cat, next to firewall). steviej
