spachpande Posted September 5, 2006 Share Posted September 5, 2006 I have1999 RX300 with 85K. I recently brought an air compressor which plugs into the cigarette lighter holder. I tried to see how it works. I filled the air into 3 tires and while filling the air into 4th tire, it stopped working :cries: . I tried to touch the lighter plug and it was very hot. I hooked up the air compressor into my other car and it worked. I checked the lighter fuse and it is okay. It seems to me that it is a problem with the cigarette lighter plug itself. It looks like I may have to take off cigarette lighter plug to see if any wire has come out. I am clueless as to how to take it out. If it is a small job, I will try to do it myself.
