vassiton Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 My headlights have a clear coating on them that is peeling off. Is this original clearcoat? What is the best way to get it off? I don't want to sand since the headlights are still perfect; no haze. oxidation or pits. It's flat so I thought perhapes a razor blade but I wanted to know if anyone knows of a solvent that can wipe the film off without hurting the headlight.
chicago sc3 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 DEEPWOODS OFF or any bugspray that had a decent amount of DEET in it. Works like a charm. No need for new headlights
chicago sc3 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Try a bug spray with DEET in it. Polishes the outside crystal clear. Use an old rag and drench it with DEEP WOODS OFF bug spray. Works like a charm
