Rookie
My compressor is bads on my 97 lx. I am pretty good at the basics - brakes etc , is the compessor a huge job and if so where can i get directions . I have the new compressor - now what. thanks I am in the exact same boat, and have purchased a rebuilt compressor and a new reciever dryer with the intent of having someone discharge the system, and evacuate it and recharge after I've switch out the compressor. I don't think I have a totaling granaded compressor, the pulley just started wobbling, but the pulley bearing looks fine. So I think something in the compressor shaft is on it's way out. I've done alot of wrenching on this vehicle, but with the limited information I have to go on, and the potential of !Removed! something up, I've about decided to have someone else do it. I just haven't run across anyone that has done this and is willing to share their experiences. Post back if you come across anything.
