kuzbayne
The Nakamichi system in my 2000 RX300 is experiencing some problems. Occasionally one of the speakers will cut out for a short period of time. Almost always turning the balance knob to the side that is affected and turning up the volume will 'wake up' the speaker, which does not sound like a loose wire problem. At first it seemed to be one speaker in particular (drivers side door) but now it seems to be other speakers that may be cutting out. Is it the speaker, or is it more likely to be an amp problem? Where is the amp for the Nakamichi system (I am assuming that there's just one)? Thanks
danigirl
I had to replace mine last month. The AM/FM tuner went bad and it sounded like the speakers were going in and out on the radio only.
dlg
I have exactly the same problem on a 2000 LX470 with Nakamichi. Did you ever solve the problem?
danigirl
I have exactly the same problem on a 2000 LX470 with Nakamichi. Did you ever solve the problem? I took to a local stereo place (not Big Box like Circuit City), and they got me one from a salvage yard for approx $300.00. They couldn't repair the other one. Intereting, every cheapo sterero I ever purchase worked forever, but the high end craps out in 7 years?????
