is350ace
Has anyone installed a K&N or other high performance (non-stock) air filter on their car yet. I am planning on getting an aftermarket intake but would like to get a filter in the mean time. Right now, K&N's websight does not list a matching filter. Any part numbers would be appreciated. 05IS300
The only problem with an air filter you oil is when you clean it.DO NOT put too much oil on it or it will hurt your air flow meter.I have seen I bet 20 cars come in the shop with engine lights on and it's because they over oiled their filter and it got all over the air flow meter.I have had K&N's in my 4runner,FX16 GTS,Nitroused Fiero GT AND I have one now on my 450hp 88 Mustang 5.0 with no problems. is350ace
Yeah, i've used K&N's on my other car for about 4 years. Thanks for the tip, but I was wondering had anyone installed one on their 350 yet?
Scott M
Yeah, i've used K&N's on my other car for about 4 years. Thanks for the tip, but I was wondering had anyone installed one on their 350 yet? A few months ago, K&N started the testing phase of the IS250 and IS350 intake kits. There was a post on one of the Lexus forums (http://my.is/forums) from a guy who works for K&N in California and was looking for IS owners willing to volunteer for these tests. These volunteers got free intake kits installed and as far as I know, they are still in the testing phase. As soon as they are available, they will be posted on the K&N website. I'm not aware of available products from other manufacturers.
