lexdog Posted April 29, 2006 Share Posted April 29, 2006 I own a 02 Rx300 87K miles AWD. It was great when I first got it but now the tranny seems to be acting funny. 1. Ive noticed it sometimes takes longer for it to shift from gear to gear 2. It sometimes shifts hard, for example this morning traffic was bad (construction season) stop and go traffic for about a mile Id barly press the gas and rx300 would jerk forward. I had the fludid changed at 60k is there anything else I should do to prevent tranny failure :cries: What were some of the signs before the tranny croaks :cries: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LexKid630 Posted April 29, 2006 Share Posted April 29, 2006 A few of the symptoms i experienced were a high pitched whining noise while driving, and the car acting like it's in "N" while in "D". The transmission failed for me while driving on the highway; every time i pressed on the gas, it would act like nothing happened, then "jerk" foward. Felt like it was "catching" too late.
