Rx330driver Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Ive noticed that on every lexus that ive driven, when you turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, why does it make an extra noise once you get to the end...kinda like a...i dont even know how to describe it, but i can hear it with the windows closed. Not sure if this happens on any other brand. Second question about the same sort. On my is300, when i attempt to turn it all the way to one side, its not easy, the last 2 inches of radius to turn takes a lot of pressure, like im forcing it, and than that sound is gets louder. Just curious guys to see if youve noticed this or know why it happens
steviej Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 that is characteristic of all power steering set-ups. you really shouldn't turn it to each full stop, you create undo pressure in the pump. steviej
