F1FTEENTH Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Hello, I have had my 95 es for a few months now, and it just now turned over 250,000 and im not sure when the last guy had the timing replaced, and i was just wondering when you are supposed to change them, like every 50,000..or.... if theirs like a certain mileage peak, like at 100,000, then again at 200,000? Any info would be appreaciated!
Toysrme Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Do it every 90,000m. Tons of people go 120-150,000 miles, but I don't recommend it. I like ditching the pump with the belt, but you don't have to. Just be sure you're doing good cooling system maintenance. Idler pulies / hydraulic tensioner should probably go every 2-3 changes, or whenever they cause a problem. hah * 1,000 miles 90 180 270 360 450 540 630 etc. I'd probably change the belt next year. Hell change it now while you're thinking about it. Whatever floats your boat.

The additional labor cost should be minimal you might as well get it over with because it will eventually need to be changed and the labor coast will be much higher.
