18" G-spyder Wheels

My dealer had installed these wheels on the IS350 in the showroom and I fell in love with them. They came mounted with the Dunlop Maxx Tires and love these also.

I am told that they are Lexus wheels and maybe came out of TRD.

I have two problems:

My previous vehicle was the GS 430 with chrome lexus wheels that always stayed clean. I always smirked at the other luxury vehicles on the road with the "black" front wheels covered in brake dust. However, my new IS350 front wheels also get covered with brake dust. Is there any solution other than hand wiping on a daily basis?

The other problem is the Spyder Wheels have a sidewall profile where the front wheels actually extend slightly past the tires! If you get too close to a curb, forget it.

My question is, has anyone else experienced this? Are all the Lexus dealers matching this tire w/this wheel?

Where can I find some touch up paint?

My parts dept. says there is no touch up paint and Lexus Customer Satisfaction has been useless.

I have the G-Spyder wheels on my IS 350. I found out (from the detail guys at Lexus) that a product that I have previously used to clean, well everything (SIMPLE GREEN) works great. I tried it out and I'll be darned if it doesn't do a great job. When you go to wash your car like normal, wet the wheels then spray a little of the stuff on (especially the front). Leave it sit there while you finish the rest of the car. Do the wheels last. You should find that the break dust comes off very easy and that the next time around it should be a bit more resistant to build up. At least these are my findings. I've gone from the dust accumulating so much in one week, to now taking about two weeks. Still a lot of dust, but at least not as frequent.
