Rush48 Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 HELP! I just purchased new 02 es300 rims for my 97 es300. The dealer said they would fit, THEY DON"T! What can I do. The 02 rims fit on the rotor too far, causing the tire to hit the strut. Where can I find the offsets for the 97 and the 02 vehilces anyway? Please HELP!!
SW03ES Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Wow, really? Thats really surprising. Maybe the problem is that the 02 rims are wider?
SpeedRacer959 Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Don't worry, you can find spacers on ebay. They are cheap too. I'll look and post some on here if I find some. -Jimi
SpeedRacer959 Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 This will probably fix your problem: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2425643557 Only $12 too, that's probably the cheapest think you'll ever buy for your Lexus. :D (aside from the LOC sticker of course.) Good Luck, Jimi
Rush48 Posted August 2, 2003 Author Posted August 2, 2003 Thanks for the info! Has anyone ever tried putting 02 ES rims on a 97 ES? And where do I find the actual "offset" for the factory 97 and 02 rims anyway?
steviej Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 be careful if you use the spacers. If they are too thick, they will decrease the amount of threads the lug nuts will be able to hold on to. Not enough threads can cause a very dangerous situation. If the spacers needed are very thick, you can look into longer lug bolts too. sj
