annetteg
When I press down on the gas petal of my 2002 3e300, sometimes it feels stiff or that there is a pressure resistance. What could cause this
steviej
Toyota/Lexus design. Many of us 2002+ owners have initially commented on it. You get used to it. Of course this I am saying this without trying your gas pedal. I noticed it was stiffer than my previous car but uniformly and consistently stiffer. It wasn't a stiffness that varied from day to day. If yours does, then get it looked at, something maybe binding it. steviej
Proteus503
I had a similar problem with my tacoma, but it didnt start until about 100k miles. Turned out to be a build-up of gunk in the throttlebody (originating from the PCV valve, which is normal). A light mist of throttlebody cleaner (acetone) and a swab with a q-tip and the problem disappeared. good luck!
