93 Es300 A/c Light Blinking

my a/c quit qorking and the a/c dash light is flashing. I know there is a way to read codes of the radio or clock display but i don't know how. can one of the lexus owners in this forum enlighten me ?

The FAQS states, press AUTO + RECIRC button at same time, then turn car on. When I do this the A/C displays blinks and it stays like that, only if I press the A/C button it starts to run like a test of all features, it goes thourgh all fan speeds, air vetns positions, heat and each time it changes modes it shows a number, but it keeps doing so indefinetely, I don't see any type of code that will tell me what is wrong.
