mjb Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I have an es 300 that is several years old but has always performed in good shape. Now. however, it has developed a clinking sound in the right front wheel area. It starts at about 15 miles per hour and is consistent. It is not noticable unless you have the windows opened but it is a concern. It has been going on for sometime. It sounds as if I have a piece of metal in the tire but I don't. Any ideas would be appreciated.
lexusk8 Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Inspect your right front wheel closely and see if anything obvious is loose. If you can't find anything, go to a tire/wheel shop and have them take the wheel off your tire and do a closer inspection of the matter.
Toysrme Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 While you're there check the CV boot. If it's split, it's time for a new axle.
