Nimski62 Posted January 29, 2006 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I was wondering if any of you knew if i bought a remote from ebay, would I be able to program it with my car? and also will i be able to take the actual metal KEY part out and put mine in?.. Any help would be appreciated.. NakHack Posted February 1, 2006 Share Posted February 1, 2006 No you cannot. That year has an EEPROM in the keyless unit which is tied to two keys. No reprogramming possible. You need to buy 2 new keys with their own EEPROM which you swap out. Costs around 250 bucks. Best bet is aftermarket, unless you really want OEM.
