Doors Unlocking While Driving

My Locks are unlocking themselves while driving, mainly over bumps in the road. I noticed my negative battery connection is loose but still somewhat tight. My aftermarket alarm system is acting up also. Such as while I am driving the siren/alarm sounds, but very quietly. Is the loose battery connection causing this?? Any opinions. Thanks

Ity can be the loose connection at the battery or it is more likely a loose connection on the alarm wiring.

Usually a loose ground on the alarm causes the siren to go off very mellow. As far as the door looks, it could be because of the loose ground on the alarm, or the ignition wire on the alarm isn't on securely. I'd try those first. Let me know if you need any other help.

Usually a loose ground on the alarm causes the siren to go off very mellow. As far as the door looks, it could be because of the loose ground on the alarm, or the ignition wire on the alarm isn't on securely. I'd try those first. Let me know if you need any other help.

I will check those now, Thanks! I just replaced my battery terminals (so that's not the problem). I figured out something else though which may be pretty easy to diagnose, if it's not what you have already told me to check. It seems when the door is opened and I "arm" the alarm, the alarm system seems fine. Its then when the door is closed the siren/alarm gets triggered and its very mellow like you said and the volume of the alarm/siren gets soft and then a little louder and then soft again and alternates. So it's kind of working opposite of what it should be; door open alarm armed/operation normal, door closed alarm armed/ very mellow alarm. Thanks alot for the help. I have a feeling I'm going to need it. If that helps you to further diagnose it please let me know.

I finally found the problem, it was a loose ground wire for the alarm. Everything is back to normal. Does anyone know how to disable the factory lexus alarm. Thanks again.

I believe you can disarm the factory alarm by inserting the key in the drivers door and unlocking. Im glad you found the problem. Its funny that you mentioned how the alarm was acting, I actually had someone come in with the same problem, whoever had installed the alarm previously grounded the the alarm on the door pin. Funny stuff.

I believe you can disarm the factory alarm by inserting the key in the drivers door and unlocking. Im glad you found the problem. Its funny that you mentioned how the alarm was acting, I actually had someone come in with the same problem, whoever had installed the alarm previously grounded the the alarm on the door pin. What I mean is how can I completely disable the lexus alarm, because if I don't unlock and disarm my aftermarket system and use the remote start the lexus alarm will go off. I've heard of a green wire that you can ground which will completely disable the factory alarm. Everything thing else works fine, its just that if I have the doors locked and I try to use the remote start before unlocking the doors the lexus alarm gets tripped.

Yes, its a green wire. Its located on the door lock ecu behind the drivers dash.

I have looked and I don't know what exactly I am looking for. When I stick my head next to the pedals and look to my left I see two ecu's and somebody said the green wire was on a twenty pin connector, but nothing sticks out enough for me to know what I am looking at. I'm looking at some lexus diagrams and I didn't see a door lock ecu listed, the closest ecu I saw was the "Security Warning ECU" Thanks for the help so far.

I dont remember off hand, but the factory disarm should be behind the drivers kick, remove the kick panel fully....... 20 pin connector, should be the only solid green wire there.
