thieaux Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Can anyone help me , im trying to tighten the crankshaft pully nut with my torque wrench and it keeps moving on me ?, anyone has any suggestions ... Thieaux
daffy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Hi thieaux, I made my own tool to reach into the spokes on the pulley. If you have access to a welder, it's very easy. Just weld two bolts(long enough to reach the spokes of the pulley) onto a long bar, and make room for the socket. Just jam the bar up against something and torque the bolt to specs. Great for removing the bolt too. I wish i could sketch it out for you, to clarify. Daffy

wwest Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I have been know to firmly block the wrench, disconnect the ignition and then use the starter....but I don't remember if that was to loosen or tighten.
