Will 97,98,99 Remotes Work On 00,01 Es300s?

So has anobody try to program a remote from 97,98,99 es300 (hyq1512p) to an 2000 or 2001 es300 with hyq1512v? will this work? I know the programming is the same, but is the frequency compatible?

Honestly I don't see the advantage of having a remote from a '97-'99 ES to be workable on a '00-'01 ES, as that particular remote is a 2-piece, while the factory keyless remote for the '00-'01 ES is all in one key.

the reason is that a 00,01 key will cause like $200 dollars for 1 at lexus..for that amount I got 2 valet keys, and can afford to get 2 remotes off of ebay..So I thought while I am a person that easily loses there key, I can get 2 for the price of 1...thats all...so anybody tried it yet?

Hi, I am in the opposite situation. Does it work to program HYQ1512V (maybe for 00~ es300) on my 99 es300 (which seems to use HYQ1512P)? Happy holidays.
