Fog Light Problem

I have a 98 LS 400 and could not get the fog lights to work when the low beams were on. I found out through playing that if I push the fog light "ring" hard to the right when it is in the "on" position the fog lights will come on. The problem is that I need to keep pushing to the right to keep them on. When I let it go the lights turn out. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I might find a permenent fix? My guess is the cost of replacing the whole light "lever" would be very high. Thanks

You need to be able to repair the contacts on the stalk or replace it eitehr way the steering wheel and airbag needs to be removed.
