tommyd1919 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Does anyone know were I could go to find a JZZ30 (Soarer 2.5TT) R154 (5 speed transmission)? Its different than the supra 1JZ trannies... It has an extention on the back were the shifter goes.... Any help would be appreciated... Thanks
DomLee Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 The JZZ30 transmission will be hard to find as is. There weren't that many in Japan to begin with. I'm told that you can use the R154 from the MKIII here in the US. Check in the Clublexus forum for a few threads on this topic.
Soaring Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I think the transmission is the same but the shifter is different. It's longer and has a "laid back" type of bend to it to make up for the different shifter point in the car. If you're gonna swithc to a r154, you would need the driveshaft though from a soarer or have one made up. The JZZ30 transmission will be hard to find as is.
