jmf
Has anyone tried Verizon's new phone model 6256i that is fully bluetooth enabled? It is just being released to indirect agents such as Best Buy, Radio Shack, and Wireless Zone. It does have OBEX, so I wonder if it will work for phonebook transfers as well as the usual bluetooth talk connections.
wnrussell
That's a great question. I have studied the Bluetooth profiles and it should, but I have not seen anything on the phone forums yet.
zube
As long as it has the feature to let you send the entire phonebook in one shot otherwise you have to do one at a time.
Statman
As long as it has the feature to let you send the entire phonebook in one shot otherwise you have to do one at a time. ← My understanding, after talking to Verizon, is that they have disabled the phone's capability (actually all phones using Verizon) of sending the phonebooks. This, as they say, is for your protection in case the phone is stolen. It is not about whether the phone has the capabilty.

Verizon broke the rules and is selling this one through third party retailers only, and NOT through it's corporate stores. wnrussell
Try this procedure with the Nokia 6256i. One contact at a time. First, pair the phone to car. Then, select the contact you want to transfer. Details Options Send business card Via BT All Details for those w/ more than 1 number Select the car when it finds the BT device Accept on the car. OR, for the more computer savvy, do it with a laptop computer: http://www.moxproject.info/prius/Files/Upl...0to%20Prius.doc
