I was over at is350forums.com and they have posted a 1/4 mile time for a stock IS350. Can anyone verify this time and trap speed:

1/4 Mile ET - 14.581*

1/4 Mile MPH - 98.850

1/8 Mile ET - 9.605

1/8 Mile MPH - 78.300

0-60 Foot ET - 2.416

Temp F - 77.0

Car - Lexus IS350

Year - 2006

Also, I've heard reports that Car and Driver is claiming a 0-60 of 5.1, this must be CD's typical use of exageration or using a stop-watch to time the runs?

Cheers,

Sara

Whatever the cause, the car doesn't feel as fast as a 306-hp sedan should as it zips to 60 mph. It does, however, beat the last 330i and A4 we tested (both equipped with six-speed manual transmissions) by 0.5 and 1.6 seconds, respectively. It also blasted through the quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds, smoking the German competition by about the same 0.6 to 1.5 seconds.

When it comes to performance, naturally the IS 350 delivers a bit more oomph than the IS 250. The 0-to-60 mph time for the IS 350 is 5.6 seconds, according to factory clockers, with an estimated 14.2-second quarter-mile time. For the IS 250 with rear-wheel drive, the 0-to-60 estimate is 7.9 seconds; it’s 8.3 seconds for AWD. The quarter-mile estimate is a flat 16 seconds for either rear-wheel or AWD.

That said, the power mad among us will rejoice in the IS 350. Its 5.6 second run from 0-60 is impressive; even if you don’t live your life one quarter mile at a time you’ll still get a kick out of overtaking slower traffic. Put your foot down and there becomes here in no time flat.

Most magazine test articles put the 0-60 in the mid 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in the low to mid 14's.
