mbu
My father-in-law has a 2002 Lexus with a Mark Levinson sound system. He'd really like to be able to play MP3s (apparently the stock deck cannot read MP3 CDs). What options does he have? We were thinking perhaps he could get an after-factory MP3 deck but we would worry about breaking up the Mark Levinson package. Are there dash kits available that will allow him to plug in a standalone MP3 player and take advantage of the sound system rather then break it up? Thank you for your comments. civi
Interesting. Ours has the Mark Levinson / NAV package with the CD / cassette behind, and the changer in the armrest. Just verified that our changer has several homemade CD-R's in them with both the mp3 format and another one directly from the sources. Maybe the changer being different than the one behind the NAV. spender
You're on to an interesting idea, you know... It is the player mechanism itself that detemines if it can play MP3s, so one way to add MP3 capability (from burned CDs) would be to add a satellite CD changer with MP3 capabilities... spender
Has anyone ever added the iPod interface from Pacific Coastal Tech? Check it out here, http://www.coastaletech.com/ULTIMATE%20IPOD.htm, it says that it provides full iPod integration, including all iPod menus. I'm quite intrigued, too bad they're sold out...
