91L3xus
OK, finally got the EXS air filter in the mail today, 2 weeks after I bought it... <_< Took out the old airbox and filter, and installed the new cone type, with the AFM metal adapter. First startup and run was good. 2nd time I started it up, maybe 1 1/2 hours later, I start it again to go to the club, and it barely hangs on at 450-500 RPM. I gave it some gas and then it settled to idle, really low again, but once it got up to almost normal temperature, it was gone. I think that I need to richen the fuel out, since I followed TRM's post on how to lean it.
Toysrme
The main flap doesn't change much @ idle. Avoid using the cog to make changes. It will really crap the powerband. (There is an idle bypass screw under a plug that can be drilled out, but this is not your problem) Any intake style will not make any change at all to how the car will run. You've more than likely got a post AFM vacuum leak.
91L3xus
I guess it took the car a couple of starts to get it figured out. Doesn't struggle when cold anymore.
