Monti
Hi, Can anybody help? I got this car almost free, a 1991 Lexus LS400 the motor is rebuilt. It drives really nice the motor is smooth, I love the look, the ride, everything but the air is not working. The car was in a shop for almost 3 years the past owner never picked it up. I was told that if the car was motor was taken out and left uncovered the air conditioner may need to be flushed at a cost of $700. That almost the amount that I paid for the car. PLEASE, SOMEBODY GIVE ME SOME HOPE. TELL ME THATS NOT TRUE. 1. The air conditioner blows but the air blowing out is not cold at all. Is the air conditioner a common problem with the LS400? 2.I would like to replace the seats the leather is cracking on the front passenger seat I guess because it sat for so long. ko90ls
you should check the a/c pressure. there is an high pressure port on the passenger side of the engine. it has a blue cap that you screw off. get a cheap pressre gauge and check the pressure. for pics and such visit lexls.com also make sure you check to see if the a/c was retrofitted to the 134-r instead of the 12a
