Kennyr Posted August 23, 2005 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Has anyone replaced their starter themself on a 1st gen LS400? Tell me what I'm getting into. Also what part did you go with? Mine is getting noisy. The solenoid is hanging up a bit. I would never just replace the solenoid. I hear you have to take the intake off. Whats up with that? 90LS400Lexus Posted August 25, 2005 Share Posted August 25, 2005 When the starter went out on my aunts 1990 LS400 back in 2001, it cost my uncle $1000 to get it replaced.
