lagg
My '93 SC300 will turn over and then die out . It is similar to the vacuum lock once seen in old VW bugs. My car will start if it has been cold for a period of time. If I run errands, after about the third stop/start the cart will turn over, tach up and then dies like the fuel was cut off dead in its tracks. I have to wait about 5-10 minutes before I can get it to turn over and not die. The issue seems to be worse in warmer weather and takes longer to resolve itself. The dealer has not been able to solve the issue. The have replaced the O2 sensors to date. Any ideas would be helpful..... :(
ajftms
thats is ok, dont worry about it too much. the problem is not with the oxygen sensor, the problem is due to a dried "main relay sensor" . it is a small relay that controls the fuel to the fuel injection. to solve the problem temporary, leave your windows rolled down to let cool air flow through the car, or park the car in a shaded spot. the sensor is about $40, probably you can buy a repair manual and fix it yourself
