Supercat Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I bought clear corners and not sure how to remove the original ones. Any one out there to help me? If there's a thread on this already, please let me know and I'll check it out. Thanks!
lexusk8 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Here are the steps: 1) Open the hood and locate the large black plastic shroud that covers the tops of your headlights and the radiator. 2) Remove the shroud piece by unplugging the 5-6 plastic plug screws. Use a flathead and needle nose pliers for this step. 3) After removal of the shroud, you should be able to see a Philips screw fastened to a white plastic tab directly connected to the corner lamp. Unscrew the Philips. 4) Carefully pull the corner lamp back and away from the bumper. After lamp is pulled back from the car, locate the signal bulb housing and untwist and disconnect the bulb from the lamp. 5) Reverse the steps here to install your clear corner lamps. Good luck!
Supercat Posted July 22, 2005 Author Posted July 22, 2005 lexusk8, you the man! I had a suspicion I'd hear from you! When I replace those little plastic plug screws, do I just push them back in when replacing the black plastic shroud? Thanks. I'll let you know how it goes!
Supercat Posted July 26, 2005 Author Posted July 26, 2005 Alright, I got it done and the new corners look great! Thanks again! Now, anyone in the market for original corners? I also have the rear lenses (mint condition) from the same car as I upgraded to the 2001 lenses...any takers? Let me know if interested: jaysquared@yahoo.com
