MQueue
My speedometer was working fine this AM, then I noticed it flat lined. I couldn't determined from the owner's manual what fuse or curcuit breaker I should check. At lunch when I went to buy fuses, I noticed that the "O/D Off" light was flashing. Of course, that condition isn't mentioned in the manual. Does anyone know off hand if this is electrical or mechanical? What should I look for? TIA! MQueue
It must be mechanical. I checked all the fuses. Noticed that the odometers aren't incrementing either. Thanks anyways.

MATAKO
My LS 400 '96 has developed the same problem recently. The speedometer works intermittently. No problem detected with the Odometer or RPM. Matako
ko90ls
same issue with my ls, and the o/d off lights is in the manual, it means there is a possible failure with the tranny, but i think it's because the tranny has a speed sensor and if the speedometer isn't working the the speed sensor isn't getting info. also when i spoke to toyota a guy told me that the speedometer and the odometer are linked therefore tamperproof, so most likely you odometer is bad too. sorry i dont have a solution for the issue just some info i've recieved over time
akewlguy
So it still does not work? Mine sticks at 0 for a bit and once its warm it kicks to 100. :) Something to do with the circut board.. I hope they find the correction soon. Cheers to LEXUS
