mrmatthew4978
98 gs400, 110K, perfect mech. condition--left keys in ignition turned to power all accessories overnight, dead the next morning. No previous elec. problems, never jump-started before. jump started w/ 03 mitsu montero sport V6, connected neg cable to neg. terminal of discharged battery, instead of to a grounded screw like I should have!! powered up fine but heard a beep that lasted maybe three seconds from inside of car--I sat indriver's seat and back-lit gauges didn't light, tho all pwr accessories work fine, no other problems but guages aren't lit and do not function.- checked the two fuses listed in owner's manual that control gauges and they are fine--what the heck!! Help! Thanks MAD-
mehullica
Disconnect the negative clamp and wait 10 minutes. Reconnect them and the lights will work. Low voltage will cause multiplex communication to freeze.
