doublesharp Posted June 29, 2005 Share Posted June 29, 2005 I've misplaced one of my original 1996 LS400 keys and remotes. The FCC# on my remaining remote is: HYQWDT-C / Canada 1551 K1420. The ones I see on Ebay for 95-97 LS400s look identical to mine but have different FCC#s: HYQ 1512P/Canada 1551 102 199. Will they work or do I need to find the exact FCC#? My local locksmith has security key blanks and wants $35 to cut a new key. Does that sound about right? Anyone know what a dealer would charge? I'm going to search for the lost key thru the weekend but I know how Murphy's Law works so if it doesn't turn up I'm going to get a backup set fast. If my luck runs true to form, I'll find my old set minutes after getting a new set. :cries: Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
