Sounds Like Somethings Loose

When the engine is cold I notice that when we we drive away the car seems to make a "loose" sound. It is hard to describe. Could it be the exhaust? If anyone had any info please let me know. I hate being this general.

Ed, did you check the heat shields on the cat's? That is a common problem on a lot of cars.

Are these located right off the headers? Is it just a loose bolt?
