krao_2000 Posted May 24, 2005 Share Posted May 24, 2005 I bought a used lexus es300 1998, 68K miles, few days ago and the guy didn't disclose a rattle sound from front left side of the vehicle. When I test drove in the afternoon it was fine. The rattle comes when I drive first time in the morning for few miles and goes away. Very annoying rattle, sounds like something lose but could not confirm. The problem cannot be replicated for the rest of the day but after overnight, it does the same thing. Straight it up a little bit then the noise will go away. This is a defect but was not recognized by the LEXUS dealer. My car 2003 ES300 has the same problem and I found out this problem and talked to dealer and they told me they told me to straight it up. I did and the problem is gone. Hope this will help.
